INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Hungry Creek is a unique, private art school set in 20 acres of New Zealand's natural bush. The entry to the school is across the bridge over the “Hungry Creek” where our workshops are nestled among kauri, totara, rimu trees, nikau palms, ponga ferns, tree ferns (the silver fern) with a variety of New Zealand birdlife and native orchids.

We are a small school with a supportive, family atmosphere, with approximately 60 students, 12 tutors and 4 administrative staff - all with a passion for art. While we take our courses and studies seriously, we try not to be too institutionalised.

The courses we offer are:

New Zealand as a whole is a fabulous country to visit with magnificent scenery, adventure tourism and friendly people, all of which you can experience during holiday breaks. We have had many international students study at our school and these are some comments some have to say:

Sarah from the USA says "New Zealand is an amazing country to visit and I felt that by attending Hungry Creek, I was doing something that I love doing in beautiful surrounding and experiencing a culture different from my own.."
Lucy from the USA says " Hungry Creek is a great art school. I grew in the self motivating encouraging atmosphere .."
Karin from the USA says " .. it doesn't feel like SCHOOL, and you can't find any greater inspiration than the nature that surrounds the school .."

If you are from Britain, the USA and several other countries you will find that the exchange rate is very favourable to you, your money goes a lot further. http://discovernz.co.nz/currency/smlconv.html
